Re: TUESDAY: (none / 0)

How can you be so flippant about the crimes committed by this adminstration-- and the people that DIED because of them?

Re: TUESDAY: (none / 0)

I don't think citizendave is being flippant.  He has been pretty vocal in the other impeachment threads that he is for impeachment.

Re: TUESDAY: Kucinich to (none / 0)

Why do people keep posting diaries about idiocy like this when today a hugely important thing happened in the senate. The Repugs blocked an energy bill which amongst other things, mainly good, imposed a windfall profits tax on the oil majors. But no we'd rather focus on Kucinich and his motion. It is is laughable.

Re: TUESDAY: Kucinich to (2.00 / 2)

It's laughable that people that started a war on lies that have killed more than a million people would even have to forfeit their jobs and the prestige and power that goes with it?

And that's just the tip of the fucking iceberg as to what Bush and Cheney have done.

I'm not laughing.

Re: TUESDAY: Kucinich to (2.00 / 1)

ottovbvs, if you want to talk about that start a diary about it.  No need to jump in and be a naysayer on someone else's thread.

Constitution is not "idiocy" (2.00 / 1)

Bush claims wartime powers in a war which by definition has "no end", his words.  Wartime powers to him mean the authority to ignore the Fourth Amendment prohibition against spying, search and seizure without a warrant.  Wartime powers to him means "enemy combatant", the authority to hold you and me without a trial, forever.  Question: what is the difference between these kinds of wartime powers and a permanent overthrow of the US Constitution?  What is idiocy about this?  What is it about what is taking place before your eyes do you not understand?

Keep blasting to the media, here are phone numbers and emails.  Yell at them if you like. http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=111

Re: TUESDAY: Kucinich to Make Motion (2.00 / 1)

People, over 4000 Americans are dead, tens of thousands of Iraqis are dead and this nightmare continues!  Some here however call holding those responsible for this crime, 'idiocy'!  Just when does the Constitution start to matter!  Go Dennis!

TUESDAY: Kucinich to Make Motion Tonight on Im (none / 0)

I heard Keith O was covering this story tonight.  And sure enough he is.  The only mention in the media that I know of, so far.

Call for Impeachment- Day 1 Was Better (none / 0)

Last night was awesome as Dennis Kucinich offered the resolution, reading each of the 35 articles in entirety.

Tonight, not so awesome, as various clerks monotoned the same resolution.

But, still, good that it was given a second reading.  Important message for the ages.
